I wanted to offer this class for anyone who wants to learn ceramic sculpture but maybe can’t afford my regular classes. Ceramics can be an expensive art form, and I do not wish to create financial barriers for people who want to learn, so here we are!

Open to ANY skill level! Great opportunity for beginners.

About the workshop:

Animal Heads from Pinch Pots. June 30th, 6-8:30pm at Flaming Otter Ceramics

288 E Georgia, #130, Vancouver BC

In this workshop Jai will lead participants through sculpting your own animal head from a pinch pot, about 4” tall. Jai will show everyone how to achieve the facial details such as eyes, noses and expressive mouths, textures such as fur/feather/scale, and how to add features such as horns and ears.

Included in this workshop is the clay, underglazes and one firing. You will have to come pick up the fired work about a week after the class. All sculpture tools are provided.

How to Pay: it is free to reserve a spot in this workshop, then you can pay at the end of the class with preferably cash, but e-transfer is also accepted. Suggestion between $25-$100, but really its up to you!

Accessibility info: the workshop space is up a flight of 20 stairs. If you cannot do stairs you are welcome to schedule a private class with Jai in their personal studio, located on the ground floor.
